Established around 1900, the Cuban Cigar Company in 1946 was owned by Samuel Levinson and Eva Levinson (widow of Samuel’s older brother Louis). Louis and Samuel’s Russian Yiddish parents had emigrated from Russia in 1885. After many years in New York, the family came west, settling in Denver around 1890.
